SQA - Trainee
Description

As a Trainee SQA, you will be responsible for assisting in testing software applications to ensure they meet quality standards and business requirements. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and senior QA engineers to identify and report defects, execute test cases, and contribute to improving the overall quality of the software.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in writing, reviewing, and executing test cases based on requirements and specifications.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, or similar).
  • Perform functional, regression, and usability testing under supervision.
  • Work with developers to understand and reproduce bugs for resolution.
  • Learn and apply automation testing tools and frameworks (if applicable).
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Support performance, security, and API testing as required.
  • Stay updated with QA best practices, methodologies, and tools.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies (manual or automation).
  • Familiarity with test case creation and bug reporting.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of automation testing tools like Selenium.
  • Experience with SQL for database validation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
